WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Purdue men's golf team wrapped its 2015-16 season last week at the NCAA Golf Championships, putting a cap on one of the most-successful seasons in school history.

#BoilerNotes
- The Boilermakers finished the season ranked No. 32 in the final Golfweek / Sagarin ratings, their highest ranking since finishing the 2005 season ranked No. 31. Since the rankings started in 2000, only two Purdue squads have been ranked higher than this year's Boilermakers (2002 ââ'¬" 18th; 2005 ââ'¬" 31st).
- Purdue appeared in its 28th NCAA Championship, the 20th most in NCAA history. Among teams north of the 40-degree latitude line, Purdue's 28 appearances are the third most (Ohio State ââ'¬" 46; BYU ââ'¬" 30).
- Purdue made the NCAA Championships for the second time in three years (2014). Purdue and Illinois are the only Big Ten teams to make the NCAA Championships field since 2013.
- Purdue played in its third straight NCAA Regional, joining just Illinois and Iowa as the only Big Ten teams to accomplish that feat.
- Purdue has had one of its best seasons in school history, winning three team titles coming at the Windon Memorial Classic, Bridgestone Golf Collegiate and Hoosier Collegiate. Purdue's three team titles are the most since 2011 and the fifth most in a season in school history (5 - 1974; 4 - 2011, 1981, 1980).
- Purdue's 18-hole stroke average of 290.50 ranked second in school history, behind just the 2001-02 team (288.19).
- Purdue recorded a school-record 13 team rounds under par, including the lowest round in school history (266 at Bridgestone Golf Collegiate).
- Purdue posted the two lowest, 54-hole team scores in school history with an 830 (-22) at the Windon Memorial Classic and an 834 (-30) at the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate.
- Purdue has relished the "underdog role" in NCAA Regional play over the last three years. In 2014, the Boilermakers were seeded eighth but finished third. In 2015, Purdue was seeded 10th but placed tied for fifth. Lastly, this year in 2016, Purdue was seeded sixth and finished fifth.
- Purdue's counting team recorded 67 rounds (of 187 rounds) at or under par, shooting at or under par in 35.8 percent of its rounds.
- Since the 1980-81 season, Purdue has had five events where every team score was at even-par or better. Three of them (Windon Memorial Classic; Bridgestone Golf Collegiate, Boilermaker Invitational) came during the 2015-16 season. Another came under Rob Bradley in the 2014 USF Invitational.
- All five of Purdue's regulars recorded rounds of 67 or better this year. Purdue was 1-of-8 schools nationally to accomplish that feat.
- Purdue individuals recorded 11 top-five finishes and 22 top-10 finishes this year. Last year's squad recorded just three top-five finishes and nine top-10 placings.
- Purdue produced 23 rounds in the 60s. Last year's team recorded 14 rounds in the 60s.
- Purdue earned four Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors during the 2015-16 season, tying for the most Big Ten weekly honors in school history (2010-11; 4).
- All nine members of the Purdue men's golf team own a cumulative GPA better than 3.00.

Boilermakers Starting to Surge Under Bradley
- The Purdue golf program has taken off under third-year head coach Rob Bradley and the results are impressive.
- In 38 events during the Bradley era, Purdue has placed in the top five in 23 of them. In the six full previous years (2007-08 to 2012-13), Purdue had 25 top-five finishes in 72 events played.
- This past fall, Purdue recorded five straight top-four finishes, the longest streak of top-four finishes for the program since having eight straight in 1970-71.
- Bradley is the first coach in school history to make three straight NCAA appearances to start his career.
- There have been 20 performances of 65 or better by a Purdue individual in school history. Eight of them have come during the last three years.
- There have been 13, 18-hole team performances of 277 or better in school history. Six of them have come under Bradley, including the best score in school history (-22; 266 in Bridgestone Golf Collegiate) set earlier this year.
- The four best, 54-hole team scores have come under Bradley.
- Three of the top five single-season team stroke average per round numbers have come under Bradley (2016 ââ'¬" 2nd; 2014 ââ'¬" 3rd; 2015 ââ'¬" 5th).
- Six of the top 14 individual single-season stroke averages in school history have come under Bradley.
- In addition, second-year assistant Coach Jake Amos was named a semifinalist for the Jan Strickland Award, given to the nation's top assistant coach.
