WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Gergely Madarasz has been selected to compete in the 2016 Oracle/ITA Masters as the Big Ten Conference's representative. The tournament will be held Oct. 13 to 16 at the Malibu Racquet Club in Malibu, California.
The Oracle/ITA Masters extends invitations to the top returning player from each Division I conference for a 32-player double-elimination singles draw on both the men's and women's side. Each conference's men's and women's representatives will then pair together in a single-elimination mixed doubles draw. Seeding for the tournament will take place on Oct. 10.
Madarasz is coming off a redshirt sophomore campaign that saw him qualify for the NCAA Championships, finish with a record of 20-4 and a final Oracle/ITA ranking of No. 57.
