WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Purdue track & field teams return to action this weekend with the Drake Relays. The Boilermakers will compete Thursday through Saturday, with the first event starting Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET at Drake Stadium's Jim Duncan Track.
THE COMPETITION
The prestigious meet includes several of the top programs in the country. The men's 29th ranked team and women's No. 41 squad will be up against Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Minnesota of the Big Ten, as well as other top programs including:

No. 9/No. 26 Texas Tech
No. 19/No. 47 TCU
No. 33/No. 17 Baylor
THURSDAY'S ACTION
The Boilermakers take to the track Thursday evening for two distance events, where four Boilermakers will compete. Senior Sharise Lund will lead off for Purdue in the women's 5,000-meter run, followed by Matthew McClintock, Tate Schienbein and Caleb Kerr for the men. McClintock and Schienbein currently rank first and fifth, respectively, on Purdue's 5k top-10 list.
FRIDAY'S ACTION
Friday begins at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 100-meter hurdles preliminaries, where Shantyra Delaney will represent Purdue. The Boilermakers will compete in 18 events throughout the day, including the shot put and women's 100-meter dash. Savannah Carson, Carmiesha Cox and Autumn Heath will all compete and all three have times that rank in the top five in program history. Carson is coming off a Purdue record-setting time of 11.35 seconds last week at IU.
SATURDAY'S ACTION
Four Boilermakers will start things off Saturday with the women's hammer throw and men's discus at 10 a.m., while Purdue record holder Chukwuebuka Enekwechi will represent Purdue at noon in the men's hammer throw. The Relays will conclude with the 4x400-meter relays.
