FRIDAY RESULTS
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Boilermakers wrapped up the first day of the IU Relays on Friday at Gladstein Fieldhouse. Two individuals qualified for Saturday finals, while Symone Black finished second in the 200-meter dash with a personal record.
Black ran in the 200m dash for just the fifth time of her career and first time this season. She ran a career best time of 24.28 seconds to finish second overall, just 0.30 of a second behind the winner. Roberson was fifth in the event with a time of 24.49 seconds. Her previous PR was 24.60 from last season.
Roberson also qualified for the finals in the 60m hurdles. Her time was a personal best by 0.03 of a second. She will compete in Saturday's finals. Shantyra Delaney also advanced to Saturday's finals in the 60m hurdles. She ran a time of 8.74 seconds.
Gerald McGee had his best day as a Boilermaker in the men's long jump. He leapt 7.00m (22-11.75) to finish sixth. Micaela Hazlewood was just off her PR in the shot put. She finished third with a best throw of 15.40m (50-6.25).
