WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -  The Purdue track and field teams are set to compete in a pair of meets on opposite sides of the country this weekend. The majority of the team will head to the Florida Relays, while a few distance runners are headed to the Stanford Invite.

The Boilermakers will take 31 student-athletes to the Florida Relays. The women's side will be highlighted by the young sprinters, especially freshman Symone Black and sophomores Savannah Carson, Devynne Charlton and Carmiesha Cox. Those individuals will compete in events ranging from the 100- and 200-meter dashes, to the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, as well as relays.

Jessica Harter and Jacqueline Williams will compete in the women's pole vault, where both look to continue climbing up the Purdue career lists. Harter, competing in the state in which she attended high school (Celebration HS), has an outdoor PR of 4.08m (13-4.75).

On the men's side, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi is back in action after taking a week off. He's scheduled to compete in the hammer and the shot put. Demetrius Carr will look to continue improving his PR in the triple jump, which is now over 15 meters. Tyler Askew and Obokhare Ikpefan are also among those competing on the men's side.
