Feb. 6, 2015

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After a week off, the Purdue women's tennis team will be back in action Saturday when they hit the road to take on No. 25 Tulsa. The 38th-ranked Boilermakers take a 1-1 record into battle against the 6-2 Golden Hurricane at the Case Center. First serves are scheduled for 12: 30 p.m. ET with live scoring and a live video stream available.

For the third time in as many duals, the Old Gold & Black will be going up against a highly touted squad, already taking on then-No. 14 Clemson and No. T-42 Washington at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Jan. 24-25. Purdue defeated the Huskies, 4-2, but dropped a 5-0 dual to the Tigers.

Like the Boilermakers, the Golden Hurricane had a 1-1 performance while playing in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. They edged then-No. T-42 Utah (4-3) and suffered a 4-2 loss to then-No. 16 and host Michigan. Tulsa comes in after being blanked by No. 6 Baylor on the road, 4-0, for its second loss of the season on Feb. 1. The Golden Hurricane boast a 4-0 mark at the Case Center thus far.

Purdue heads to Tulsa looking to repay the Golden Hurricane with a loss on their home court. Last year in their first-ever meeting, Tulsa defeated the Boilermakers, 5-2, on the Basham Courts.

No. 105 Andjela Djokovic and No. 118 Daniela Vidal will be leading the Purdue revenge charge. Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum and Vidal both own a 4-1 record playing at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. They are also 5-2 as the No. 1 doubles team for the Old Gold & Black.

There is one ranked Golden Hurricane that will be in action, No. 70 Marcelina Cichon.
