WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - In the final two days before opening day, we invite you to learn a little more about the 2015 Boilermaker softball team, including fun facts and a few of their favorite things.
Today, we introduce freshman outfielder Kaylah Hampton. Hampton was an all-state selection as a senior at Verrado High School in Goodyear, Ariz. She also garnered all-section and team Defensive Player of the Year honors each of her four years and earned all-division and all-section honors as a senior. Off the field, she was a four-year AIA scholar athlete, finished among the top 10 percent of her graduating class and logged more than 300 hours of community service.

Most memorable sports moment prior to Purdue: At PGF Nationals, I had an 0-2 count and hit a walk-off to win the game.

Best non-athletic talent: Sculpting or creative writing
