Friday Practice Report

Aug. 15, 2014

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermakers wrapped up their final two-a-day of fall camp on Friday with a two-hour morning session and an hour afternoon practice that was dedicated to special teams. The team went through final preparations before Saturday's Jersey Scrimmage at Ross-Ade Stadium, which is open to the public and is scheduled to begin just after 11:00 a.m. ET.

Friday morning's practice was what head coach Darrell Hazell referred to as one of the best of the entire camp. He liked how sharp the offense looked and the intensity in which his team played. The second year Purdue coach is excited for Saturday's scrimmage because he thinks it will give him answers as to who will fill out the two-deep and be the next guys ready to go. Hazell spoke to the media after practice and his interview can be found below.

Sophomore tight end Jonathan Curry also spoke to the media on Friday and his interview can be found below. He talked about learning under a talented group of seniors which includes Gabe Holmes, Justin Sinz and Dolapo Macarthy.

Saturday is also Kids Day. Fans will be able to attend the scrimmage free of charge and there will be various activities set up for kids during and after the practice. After the scrimmage is over, kids will be able to go on the field and get autographs from their favorite players.
