WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Purdue women's golf team wrapped up its fall season on Sunday, turning in a 15th-place finish at the Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNC Wilmington at the Country Club of Landfall. The Boilermakers posted a team score of 928 at the 54-hole event, finishing with their top team single-day total of the tournament at 303 to close the event.
Junior Aurora Kan was the Boilermakers' top individual for the tournament and posted their best score on Sunday, shooting even par for the day to finish 13-over at 229 (76-81-72) and tied for 32nd place. After shooting even par, 72 yesterday, sophomore Vinh-Hoa Ngo came back with a five-over, 77 this afternoon to come home at 15-over, 231 (82-72-77) and tie for 42nd place.
Junior Johanna Tillström and sophomore Brooke Beegle turned in the other two qualifying team scores on Sunday, matching Ngo at five-over, 77. Beegle tied for 57th at 235 (79-79-77), while Tillström (81-79-77) and freshman August Kim (81-79-77) tied for 65th at 237.
The Boilermakers are off from competition for a few month, returning to host the Lady Puerto Rico Classic at the Rio Mar Country Club River Course in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico Feb. 16-18.
