WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Robbie Hummel had 13 points and eight rebounds to help Purdue beat Eastern Michigan 61-36 on Saturday.

Terone Johnson scored nine points, Ryne Smith had eight points and five rebounds and Anthony Johnson scored all seven of his points in the second half for Purdue (9-2), which was coming off a lackluster 65-60 win over Western Carolina.

Purdue pulled away despite shooting 36 percent from the field. The Boilermakers held the Eagles to 14 points and 5-for-23 shooting after the break.

Derek Thompson scored 15 points and Jamell Harris added eight points, eight rebounds and four blocks for Eastern Michigan (4-6), which lost its fifth straight. Darrell Lampley, who entered the game averaging 17 points per contest, finished with five points on 2-for-7 shooting.

Eastern Michigan's other games against teams from the big conferences have been rough, too. The Eagles lost 72-40 to Michigan State and 84-48 to Syracuse.
