WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's and women's track and field teams will hold their annual open tryouts on Wednesday, Aug. 24, and Thursday, Aug. 25, head coach Jack Warner announced. The tryouts will begin at 5 p.m. both days at the Dave Rankin Outdoor Track. Individuals trying out only need to attend one of the sessions. This is an opportunity for any Purdue student to try out for a spot on the Boilermaker men's or women's cross country or track and field team and become a member of Purdue Athletics.
To be eligible to try out, individuals must have proof of a physical within the past year and sign a waiver at the tryouts. Students trying out should come prepared to perform in their event of interest. For a general idea about expectations check the track and field website, or click here. These are simply general standards, not requirements. For more information, contact the track and field offices, located in Mackey Arena.
