URBANA, Ill. - After shooting a team total of 307 (+19) in the first round, the Purdue men's golf team is tied for fourth at the Illini Spring Classic with play suspended due to rain.
Due to inclement weather, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes. The final round will commence on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET with a shotgun start.
Junior William Sjaichudin shot 73 (+1) in the opening round, and was one shot under par when play was suspended in the second round to head into the clubhouse at even par and tied for third place.
Freshman Adam Schenk finished the day in a tie for ninth place, shooting 75 (+3) in the opening round and wrapping up the day at -1 in the second. Senior Nakarintra Ratanakul was four shots over par and tied for 18th when the day's action concluded afer shooting an opening-round 76, while classmate Erich Johnston was in a tie for 66th at +13 when the day wrapped up. Junior Tyler Duncan was +15 when play was suspended, and hit the clubhouse at 15 shots over par.
