WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's and women's track and field teams will hold their annual open tryouts next Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 25-26, at 5 p.m. at Dave Rankin Track & Field. This is an opportunity for any member of the Purdue student body to try out for a spot on the Boilermaker team and join Purdue Athletics.
"Our annual try outs serve as an opportunity to see who's out there," said Purdue head coach Jack Warner. "We never know who we may find, so we make it a point to send the campus an invitation to try and join our team. We feel it's our duty to the school and our teams to try and find all the best runners Purdue has to offer."
In order to participate in try outs, individuals must have proof of a physical within the last calendar year and sign a waiver. For more information contact the track and field offices, located in Mackey Arena.
