Men's Golf Leads After Two Rounds

FARMINGTON, Pa. - After finishing Day One 10 strokes over par, the Purdue men's golf team turned in the top team round of the Rutherford Intercollegiate on Monday, finishing the second day of action at even par and a hold on the top spot of the team leaderboard in Farmington, Pa.

Purdue stands at plue-10 after 36 holes and has an eight-stroke lead over Miami (Ohio), the team leader after the first day of action. The RedHawks slipped to second in the team standings after a plus-17 day on the course at Mystic Rock.

The Boilermakers' Nakarintra Ratanakul fired a four-under 68, the best individual round through two days, to take a four-stroke lead over Missouri's Will Hogan. Ratanakul is at six-under with 18 holes remaining and is the only golfer to fire back-to-back rounds under par, shooting his 68 after scoring a two-under 70 on Sunday.

William Sjaichudin is tied for fifth after two rounds at plus-three following his one-under second round. Tyler Duncan shot plus-six on Monday and is tied for 13th at seven over par for the tournament. Tom Oliver is tied for 26th at nine over, and Maximo Kopp completes the Purdue squad tied for 43rd at 13 over par.

The Boilermakers tee off their final round at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Purdue threesome will include Miami and host Penn State. The Nittany Lions are tied for third with Virginia Commonwealth at 21-over.
