EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Purdue men's golf team is tied for seventh after two rounds of play at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championships at the Forest Akers West Course in East Lansing, Mich. The Boilermakers fired a 303 in the morning round, followed by a 295 in the afternoon for a 22-over par 598 and are tied with Michigan with two rounds to play.

Illinois is in first place with a two-round total of 581, Northwestern is in second place with a 584, while host Michigan State is in third with a two-round total of 586.

Indiana's Jorge Campillo holds the individual lead after firing a four-under par 140 for two rounds.

The Boilermakers were led by freshman David Gersztein who is tied for fourth after firing a one-under par 143 on Friday. He carded a 70 in the morning round and a 73 in the afternoon. Freshman Nakarintra Ratanakul carded a 76 and a 75 for a two-round total of 151 and is tied for 25th.

Junior Tom Oliver is tied for 29th after recording a 76 in both rounds for a total score of 152. Junior Michael Randle fired an 81 in the opening round but improved with a 73 in the second round and is tied for 38th with a two-day total of 154. Freshman Erich Johnston is tied for 43rd with a total score of 155. He carded an 81 followed by a 74.
