OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - The Purdue men's golf team is in 12th place with a team total of 594 after two rounds on Sunday at the Olympia Fields Country Club/Fighting Illini Golf Invitational in Olympia Fields, Ill.
Thirteenth-ranked Oklahoma State is in first place with a team score of 567 and has the first place golfer, Rickie Fowler who fired a 70 followed by a 63 on Sunday. Texas is in second place with a team score of 570 and No. 9 Florida State is in third with a 576.
Purdue's Tom Oliver is in ninth after firing a 72 in the morning round, followed by a 71 for a two-round total of 143 (+3).
Freshman Erich Johnston carded a 69 in the first round but a 79 in the second dropped him to a tie for 30th with a total of 148 (+8).
Michael Randle is tied for 50th with rounds of 79 and 72 (151). Freshman Nakarintra Ratanakul has a total score of 154 (76,78) and is tied for 54th. Maximo Kopp fired an 81 and a 77 and is in 57th place.
Purdue begins the final round of play on Monday, with tee times beginning at 9:55 a.m. Eastern. The tournament is being held on the North Course of the Olympia Country Club, a par-70, 7,157-yard layout, that was the site of the 2003 U.S. Open.
