BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Purdue University men's and women's cross country teams each earned 10th-place finishes at the Big Ten Conference Championships, hosted by Indiana University on Sunday morning. First-year Amye Adcock was the Boilermakers' top finisher on the women's side, while senior Justin Stadt paced the men for the second straight outing.

The University of Michigan won the women's race led by the 1-2 finish of Erin Webster and Alyson Kohlmeier, while the top-ranked University of Wisconsin took home the men's title, totaling just 27 team points. The University of Minnesota's Chris Rombough won the individual title on the men's side, holding off Stuart Eagon of Wisconsin down the final stretch for a one-second victory.

Adcock grabbed Purdue's top spot for the first time in her young collegiate career, crossing the finish line in 22:42 on the 6K course. Classmate Katie Morrical finished close behind at 22:48, while fellow freshman Jessica Hampson posted a time of 23:31. Junior Carrie Fett and freshman Sarah Klaczynski capped the Boilermakers' scoring with respective times of 23:43 and 24:16.

On the men's side, Stadt led a group of tightly packed Purdue harriers as the five Boilermaker scorers finished within seven placings and 14 seconds of each other. Stadt completed the course in 26:04, just one second in front of freshman teammate Neno Bellinotti. Senior Michial Jacob, junior Eric Hammond and senior Justin Gauthier crossed the line in succession, marking times of 26:12, 26:15 and 26:18.

Both squads return to action Saturday, November 11, as they travel to Bowling Green, Ohio for the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals.
