Purdue women's golf team posted a second round team score seven strokes better than yesterday but fell a spot to 15th in the NCAA Fall Preview tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Boilermakers shot a 304 for a two-day total of 615 (+39).
Sixteen of the 18 teams competing this weekend posted lower scores in the second round at the LPGA International's Legends Course. Georgia remains the tournament leader with a four stroke lead over Auburn, but was one of the two teams to record a higher team score Saturday.
For Purdue, sophomore Maria Hernandez shot a second round team-best 73 (+1), which moved her into a tie for 33rd. She shares that spot with teammate Christel Boeljon who posted a 77 today.
Senior Myrte Eikenaar and sophomore Stephanie Oukeo also shot 77 and are tied for 57th and 63rd, respectively.
The tournament concludes Sunday with a shotgun start at 8:30am on the par-72 Legends course. Live scoring can be found at golfstat.com.
