HOUSTON, Texas - The Purdue men's golf team tied for sixth place at the Hall of Fame Invitational in Houston, Texas.

The No. 44 Boilermakers fired a final-round 301 and tied with Arizona with a total of 904. Oklahoma State won the event with a total of 880. Texas A&M placed second with 890 strokes. Purdue finished ahead of 10 other teams.

Junior Bobby Bennett came out of a slump and played well for the Boilermakers. Bennett fired a final-round 74. His total of 223 tied him for 11th overall. He posted a 74 on Friday and a 75 on Saturday.

Junior Pariya Junhasavasdikul also tied for 11th overall. Junhasavasdikul shot a team-low 72 on Sunday. His even-par round was the low of the tournament for the Boilermakers.

Junior Peter Richardson fired a 78 on Sunday. His total of 226 tied him for 24th overall. Sophomore Santiago Russi fired a final-round 77 and finished with a total of 232. He tied for 50th overall.

Freshman Michael Randle tied for 74th overall after a total of 238.

The Boilermakers placed seventh in the Hall of Fame Invitational in 2005. The Hall of Fame Invitational featured 17 teams, including No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Oklahoma State.

The Hall of Fame Invitational was held at the par 72, 7,244-yard Redstone Tournament Course.

The Boilermakers return to action on April 8 and 9 when they host the Boilermaker Invitational at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex's Kampen Course.
