SUNRIVER, Ore. - The Purdue women's golf team finished 20th at the 2005 NCAA Women's Golf Championships in Sunriver, Ore.

In cold and rainy conditions, the Boilermakers fired a final-round 301, their lowest of the tournament. They totaled 1216 strokes over the four rounds.

Duke won the national championship with a total of 1170. Big Ten schools Ohio State and Michigan State tied for sixth and 17th respectively.

Big Ten Freshman of the Year Whitney Frykman was the highest-placing Boilermaker. She tied for 55th overall after firing a 76 on Friday.

Junior Onnarin Sattayabanphot tied for 60th place. She carded a final-round 75 after a 72 on Thursday.

Sophomores Caroline Haase carded a 76 on Friday and tied for 74th overall.

Sophomore Myrte Eikenaar tied for 92nd after a final-round 74, the lowest round of the day for Purdue.

Redshirt-freshman Kara Eschbach totaled an 81 on Friday and tied for 124th overall.

The championships were held on the Meadows Golf Course at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. Oregon State served as the tournament's host.

The course is a par 71 and playing at 6,312 yards.

Purdue is one of six schools to advance to the last six NCAA Championships.
