The Purdue men's golf team is tied for fifth after the first round of the 2005 Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wis.
The Boilermakers fired a first-round 292 and are tied with Wisconsin.
Michigan State leads the event after a total of 282. Indiana is second with 283 and Minnesota is third with 285.
Indiana's Jeff Overton is the first round leader after a blistering 65 on Friday.
Sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul led the Purdue attack. He fired a first-round 71 and is tied for eighth overall. He carded four birdies and three bogeys on the day.
Sophomore Peter Richardson is tied for 12th overall after a 72.
Senior Dustin Cone carded a 74 and is tied for 25th overall.
Sophmore Johan Edin fired a 75 and is tied for 34th. Freshman Santiago Russi is tied for 47th after a 78.
