Final Stats

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss at No. 53 Minnesota on Sunday. The Boilermakers concluded the regular season with a 3-16 overall record and a 0-10 Big Ten mark. The Golden Gophers improved to 8-12 and 5-5 with the victory.

Minnesota took the doubles point behind wins at No. 1 and No. 2. At No. 3, the Purdue pair of junior Colin Foster and sophomore Scott Warner beat Mikey Kantar and Sion Wilikins 8-5.

In singles, the Boilermakers managed two victories: sophomore Eric Hodgman came from behind to beat Pierre Dumas 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) at No. 5; classmate Matt Zollman downed Wilikins 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6.

Minnesota won the remainder of the singles matches, from Nos. 1 through 4, in straight sets.

Purdue's season is not yet over. The Boilermakers will begin competition at the Big Ten Championships on Thursday, in Champaigm, Ill.
