Final Stats

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Princeton handed the 53rd-ranked Purdue men's tennis team a 6-0 loss in San Diego on Monday. The Boilermakers dropped to 3-5 (0-1 Big Ten) with the defeat. The Tigers, meanwhile, improved to 8-2 with their seventh win in a row.

Playing without injured No. 1 player Paul Rose, Purdue struggled from top to bottom. The Boilermakers lost all six singles matches, with five of those losses coming in straight sets.

Due to rainy conditions, the match started with singles play. The two teams did not play doubles, as the Tigers already had claimed the match by winning more than a plurality of the singles contests.

Purdue has two more matches remaining on its spring break trip. The Boilermakers will face Texas Tech on Thursday at 11 a.m., and Pepperdine on Friday at 1 p.m. The matches against the Red Raiders and Waves will be played in Malibu.
