The Purdue women's golf team moved up three spots to finish in fifth place at the 2005 Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.

The Boilermakers fired a final-round 304, the third-lowest round of the day. They totaled 921after firing a 310 in the second round. Wake Forest won the event with an 883 and Auburn placed second, totaling 902.

Sophomore Myrte Eikenaar won the event after carding a final-round 70. She totaled a 215 over the three-day tournament to claim her first individual championship at Purdue. Eikenaar fired a 73 in the first round and a 72 on Saturday.

Junior Onnarin Sattayabanphot tied for 15th overall after a final-round 75. She totaled 228 in the event.

Freshman Whitney Frykman fired a final-round 75 and tied for 43rd overall. Sophomore Caroline Haase tied for 73rd after carding an 84, and redshirt freshman Kara Eschbach fired an 85 and tied for 81st.

The event was hosted by the University of Florida.

The Boilermakers are in action again from March 14 to 16 at the Lady Rebel Invite in Las Vegas, Nev.
