The Purdue men's golf team finished in 10th place at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

The Boilermakers fired a final-round 294 and totaled an 877 over the three days. They carded a 295 in the first round and a 288 on Monday. Georgia Tech won the event with 845. Florida captured second with 849, and Oklahoma State placed third with 850. Senior Dustin Cone and sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul both tied for 28th place. Cone fired a 75 on Tuesday and Junhasavasdikul carded a 73 in the final round. They both totaled 219 over the three days.

Freshman Santiago Russi tied for 33rd overall. He fired a final-round 74 and totaled 220.

Sophomore Peter Richardson fired a final round team-low 72 and tied for 43rd overall. He overcame an 80 on Sunday to total a 223. Sophomore Bobby Bennett tied for 60th place after a final-round 76.

The event was hosted by Purdue and held at the Westin Rio Mar Golf Course in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The course is a par 72, 6,945-yard layout.

The Boilermakers are in action again on March 13 and 14 at the General Jim Hackler Intercollegiate in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
