The Purdue women's golf team finished ninth at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Wednesday.

The Boilermakers fired a final-round 305. Purdue totaled 930 over the three days, carding a 313 on Monday and a 312 on Tuesday. Auburn won the event with an 888, after breaking 300 each of the three rounds. Texas Christian placed second and Florida took third.

The Boilermakers were led by sophomore Myrte Eikenaar, who fired a final-round 74 and tied for 15th place overall with a total of 227.

Freshman Whitney Frykman tied for 22nd after a 74 on Wednesday. She fired a 73 on Tuesday, the lowest score of the week for the Boilermakers.

Junior Onnarin Sattayabanphot totaled 232 and tied for 30th overall.

Sophomore Caroline Haase recorded tied for 55th place after a round of 82 on Wednesday. Freshman Kara Eschbach placed 70th with a total of 251.

The event was hosted by Purdue and held at the Dorado Del Mar Golf Course in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The course is a par 72, 6,033-yard layout.

The Boilermakers are in action again on March 4 to 6 at the Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
