The Purdue women's golf team is tied for seventh place after the first round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
The Boilermakers fired a 313 and are tied with Tulsa and East Tennessee State. Auburn leads the event after a 299 and TCU is second after carding a 304.
Junior Onnarin Sattayabanphot led the way on Monday by firing a three-over 75. She is tied for eighth place overall.
Sophomore Myrte Eikenaar is tied for 20th place after carding a first-round 77. Sophomore Caroline Haase recorded an 80 and is tied for 38th overall.
Redshirt-freshman Kara Eschbach is tied for 46th after an 81 and freshman Whitney Frykman fired an 83 and is tied for 57th.
The event is being hosted by Purdue and held at the Dorado Del Mar Golf Course in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The course is a par 72, 6,033-yard layout.
Second round action begins on Tuesday morning and the final round will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
