WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team lost its third straight match to Ball State 6-1 in Muncie on Sunday. The loss drops Purdue's record to 1-3 on the season. Ball State's record improves to 6-3 overall.

Purdue lost the doubles point with junior Paul Rose and senior David Robinson falling to No. 56 Matt Baccarani and Patrick Thompson in the No. 1 position. The Boilermaker duo of seniors Filip Koziell and Sounak Chatterjee remained undefeated in doubles play when they beat Tony Epkey and Brad Rhodes of Ball State 8-6.

In singles action, 76th-ranked Paul Rose won the lone match when he defeated Matt Baccarani 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 1 position.

The Boilermakers will return home after two straight weekends on the road when they face Western Michigan on Sunday, Feb. 26. The match will begin at 3 p.m.
