WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Two singles wins highlighted the final day of the Purdue women's tennis team's fall campaign. Senior Amy Walgenbach and junior Brittany Minna both registered victories on the last day at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington on Sunday.

Walgenbach, playing in the No. 4 position in the hidden-dual match against Notre Dame, outlasted Sarah Jane Connelly 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 (10-7). Minna made quick work of Bailey Louderback, winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Sophomore Hala Sufi, freshmen Stephanie Wooten and Brooke Beier, and senior Shawna Zuccarini were not as successful. Sufi dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Brook Buck at No. 1. Wooten fell 6-1, 6-2 to Lauren Connelly at No. 2. Beier lost 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (11-9) to Kristina Stastny at No. 3. At No. 5, Zuccarini suffered a 6-0, 6-0 defeat at the hands of Liz Donohue.

The Boilermakers now turn their attention to the spring dual-match season, which will begin with a home match against perennial national power Tennessee on Jan. 29.
