WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue men's tennis junior Colin Foster advanced to the main draw of the Big Ten Singles Championships following a qualifying win Friday in Madison, Wis.

After receiving a first-round bye, Foster beat Chi Pham of Minnesota 7-5, 2-6, 6-0. Foster now will be one of 64 players to compete for the championship in the main draw of the singles tournament.

Also competing in the qualifying round for Purdue on Friday were sophomores Eric Hodgman and Matt Zollman. Hodgman fell 6-3, 7-5 to Mikey Kantar of Minnesota. Zollman lost 6-3, 6-4 to Luke Kasarov of the host Badgers.

Boilermakers joining Foster in the main draw beginning Saturday are sophomore Scott Warner, fifth-seeded junior Paul Rose, and seniors Sounak Chatterjee, Filip Koziell and David Robinson.
