The Purdue men's golf team keeps rolling along during its 2004 fall season. The Boilermakers finished third at the Landfall Tradition on Sunday.

The Boilermakers fired a final-round 290 and have now placed in the top three in four of five tournaments during the fall season. Purdue totaled 858 over the three days, seven strokes behind Michigan State, which won the event. Duke finished second with an 855.

Purdue sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul carded a team-low 69 on Sunday and tied for seventh place overall. Junhasavasdikul's fired three sub-par rounds of 71, 71 and 69 over the three days.

Senior Dustin Cone tied for 11th overall after a final-round 72. He totaled 213. Sophomore Peter Richardson recorded a 75 on Sunday and tied for 19th.

Sophomores Bobby Bennett and Brandon Lawson tied for 28th and 44th respectively.

The event was hosted by UNC-Wilmington and held at the Country Club of the Landfall, designed by Jack Nicklaus. The course is a par 72, 6,948-yard layout.

The Boilermakers are in action again from Nov, 14 to 16 at the Hooters Match Play Championships in Myrtle Beach, N.C.
