Final Stats

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Notre Dame Tom Fallon Invitational on Sunday in South Bend.

Winning on the third and final day of the hidden-dual tournament was 56th-ranked junior Paul Rose, who beat Barry King of Notre Dame 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 1 singles spot. Rose also won in doubles, teaming with senior Sounak Chatterjee for an 8-3 victory over the Fighting Irish pair of Brent D'Amico and Ryan Keckley.

Though the Boilermakers managed just two wins in 10 matches Sunday, Purdue head coach Tim Madden was not displeased with the results from the weekend.

"We came here with the objective of trying to create key moments where we're truly competing and going after pressure situations. The first day was mediocre at best, but the last two days our guys got serious about competing," Madden said. "I'm very pleased with how much improvement I saw all the way up and down the lineup. We've got our team chemistry moving in the right direction."

Purdue will be off next weekend. The Boilermakers will return to action the weekend of Oct. 9 and 10, when they play host to the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette.
