WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team struggled in the second day at the Rice Crowne Plaza Invitational in Houston, on Saturday. Of 11 singles and doubles matches played, the Boilermakers came up with just one victory.
The lone win came from the senior doubles pair of Sounak Chatterjee and Filip Koziell, which defeated the pair of Take Morita and Jason Mok of Rice in the A Flight.
Sophomore Paul Rose, the 56th-ranked player in the nation, had to retire in the third set against Rice's Tony Haerle. He lost 6-3, 5-7, 6-6 ret.
The Crowne Plaza Invitational will conclude Sunday.
