The Purdue men's golf team leads the field after 36 holes of the Boilermaker Invitational on the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Four Boilermakers are in the top six overall.
Purdue fired a 285 on the first 18 holes and a blistering 277 on the second 18. Their total of 562 leads second-place Kentucky by nine strokes.
The Boilermakers were led by senior Shiv Kapur and freshman Peter Richardson. Each totaled a 140 on Saturday and are tied for third place overall.
Sophomore Pariya Junhasavasdikul and senior Dustin Cone both are tied for sixth place overall after a total of 141.
Freshman Johan Edin is tied for 58th place after a 151 on Saturday.
Seven of the Boilermakers' 10 rounds were under par, including four in the second round. The 18-team field includes eight Big Ten schools and several top programs from around the Midwest.
The event concludes with 18 holes on Sunday. The Pete Dye-designed Kampen Course is a par 72, 7,200-yard layout.
