The Purdue women's golf team tied for sixth place at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, in Austin, Texas. The event was hosted by the University of Texas.
The Boilermakers fired a final-round 318, their lowest of the event. Purdue tied with Southern Methodist. The Boilermakers finished with a three-round total of 962. Vanderbilt won the event after a 935.
Senior Onnarin Sattayabanphot led the Boilermakers with final-round 78. She tied for 17th overall with a 238. Senior Beth Hermes tied for 23rd after a three-round total of 239. Senior Ella Asbun finished 33rd after totaling a 242.
Freshman Myrte Eikenaar fired a career-low 79 on Tuesday and tied for 34th overall. Freshman Caroline Haase finished 86th after a total of 267.
The tournament was held on the 6,247-yard, par-72, Hills Country Club in Austin, Texas.
The Boilermakers are in action again from April 2 to 4 at the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
