Women's Golf Tied For Sixth

The Purdue women's golf team is tied for sixth place after the second round of the Betsy Rawls Invitational, in Austin, Texas. The event is being hosted by the University of Texas.

The Boilermakers fired a second-round 323 and are tied with Arizona and Southern Methodist. The Boilermakers have a two-round total of 644. Texas leads the event after a two-round total of 626.

Seniors Ella Asbun and Beth Hermes and sophomore Onnarin Sattayabanphot are all tied for 20th overall. The trio has totaled 160 over the first two rounds.

Freshmen Myrte Eikenaar and Caroline Haase are tied for 41st and 90th. Eikenaar fired an 81, and Haase shot a 90 on Monday.

The tournament is being played on the 6,247-yard, par-72, Hills Country Club in Austin, Texas.

The final round will be held on Tuesday and begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
