The Purdue men's golf team is in sixth place after the two rounds of the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C.
The event is being hosted by the University of South Carolina-Aiken and will conclude with final-round play on Tuesday.
The Boilermakers fired a 283 in the second round. They posted a 296 in the first round. The Boilermakers total of 579 is just eight strokes behind Coastal Carolina for second place. South Carolina leads the event with a 26-hole total of 559.
Senior Shiv Kapur is tied for sixth place overall after a two-round total of 141. Freshman Pariya Junhasavasdikul is in 12th place after firing a second-round 68.
Freshman Peter Richardson is tied for 28th place after a two-round total of 147. Senior Luke Epp is tied for 33rd after a 148. Junior Dustin Cone is tied for 48th with a 151.
The tournament is being played on the 6,380-yard, par-71, Palmetto Golf Club.
The final round will be held on Tuesday.
