The Purdue women's golf is in 12th place after the first round of the 2004 Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
The Boilermakers fired a first round 320 and trail Vanderbilt by 14 strokes for a spot in the top five. Duke leads the field after a first-round 292.
The event is being hosted by Florida University and held on the par-70, 5,927-yard University of Florida Golf Course.
The Boilermakers were led by sophomore Onnarin Sattayanbanphot, who fired a first-round 78. Senior Ella Asbun carded a 79 and is tied for 44th.
Newcomer Myrte Eikennar carded an 81 in her first round as a Boilermaker. She is tied for 57th. Senior Beth Hermes and freshman Caroline Haase are tied for 68th after a pair of 82's.
