On Monday morning, the Purdue women's golf team defeated Florida 3.5-1.5 in the second round of the 2003 Hooters Match Play Championship. On Monday evening, the Boilermakers fell 5-0 to Oklahoma State and were eliminated from the tournament.
The Boilermakers lost their first-round match to top seeded Duke. Purdue was the No. 16 seed in the 16-team field.
Against Florida, the Boilermakers got victories from senior Beth Hermes, sophomore Onnarin Sattayabanphot and freshman Maria Stinson. Senior Ella Asbun tied in her match.
Hermes won 4 and 3 and Sattayabanphot won 1 and 2.

The Boilermakers are now done for the fall season. They open the spring campaign on Feb. 22 to 24 by hosting the Puerto Rico Classic.Classic.
