Troy Havens and Paul Rose of the Purdue men's tennis team paired up to post two doubles victories in the prequalifying round of the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships Saturday in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Havens, a senior, and Rose, a sophomore, beat Troy State's duo of Emir Basic and Clayton Langheim 8-4 in the first round. In their second match, they defeated Illinois State's Alfredo Lagarda and Alban Renard of Illinois State 8-2.
Havens and Rose will meet James Spence and Lee Walker of Memphis at 11:30 a.m., Sunday.
Rose, who won his first two singles matches in the double-elimination tournament Friday, dropped out with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 loss to UCF's Catalin Bradu in the round of 64.
