KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Purdue women's golf team finished in 16th place at the 2003 Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Boilermakers fired a final round 317. Ohio State won the event with an overall 884.
The event was hosted by Tennessee University and held on the par-72, 6,201-yard Fox Den Country Club. The Boilermakers won the event in 2002. It was their fifth time playing in the tournament.
The Boilermakers were led sophomore Onnarin Sattayabanphot, who fired final-round 77. She finished tied for seventh overall after a three-round 220.
Seniors Ella Asbun and Beth Hermes tied for 60th overall after a pair of 234s. Freshman Caroline Haase tied for 81st overall after a three-round total of 247.
The Boilermakers are in action again on Nov. 2 to 4, at the Hooter Match Play Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
