Karmis Tied For 44th At Central Regional

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Purdue golfer Peter Karmis is tied for 44th place at the NCAA Men's Golf Central Regional in Manhattan, Kan.

Karmis fired an even-par 72 on the day. He recorded three birdies, a bogey and one double bogey.

Karmis is one of six individuals competing in the Central Regional. The top two individuals will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships in Stillwater, Okla., on May 28 to 31.

Karmis was named honorable mention All-Big Ten following his second-place finish at the Big Ten Championships in Bloomington on May 2 to 4.

Karmis has been the Boilermakers' top finisher in six of the last seven tournaments and holds the teams lowest stroke average at 73.1.
