WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Willie Deane and Chris Booker scored 14 points apiece as Purdue beat Montana 84-66 on Saturday for its third consecutive victory.

Montana missed eight straight shots to open the game as Purdue claimed an 8-0 lead. The Boilermakers led by 18 points at halftime, 45-27.

Darmetreis Kilgore hit a 3-pointer with 12:30 remaining in the game to extend the Boilermakers' lead to 33 points.

Kilgore and freshman Melvin Buckley finished with 11 points each for the Boilermakers (8-3), who shot 46 percent from the floor.

The two teams combined to attempt 50 three-pointers, with Purdue hitting 10 and Montana six.

Kevin Criswell led the Grizzlies (6-9) with 16 points, while Steve Horne added 14 and David Bell scored 12.

The Boilermakers are 6-0 to open the season at Mackey Arena and have won 12 straight home games against non-conference opponents. Purdue opens its Big Ten schedule at home against Northwestern on Jan. 11.
