DALTON, Ga. - The Purdue men's golf finished in 18th place at the Carpet Capital Classic in Dalton, Ga. The event was hosted by Georgia Tech.
The Boilermakers carded a final-round 305 and finished the event with a three-day total of 915.
Senior Chris Mayson led the Boilermakers on the weekend with a three-day total of 220. He carded a final-round 70 and tied for 36th place overall.
Senior Peter Karmis tied for 70th after a final round 76. He totaled a 227 over the three days. Sophomore Dustin Cone tied for 76th place after a three-day total of 231.
Junior Ryan Barauskas and Ryan Masuda finished in 87th and 89th place. Barauskas totaled a 237 and Masuda carded a 247 over the three days.
The Boilermakers compete four times in the fall and are in action again on Oct. 7 to 8, at the NCAA Fall Preview in Stillwater, Okla.
