Sea Ray Relays Underway in Knoxville

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Track and field action began at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., on Friday.

Scott Hecht led the field in the shot put with a mark of 56.10m/184-1.00. Jacques Reeves upped in NCAA provisional mark in men's 200m dash with a time of 20.73, placing fifth in the highly competitive field. Reeves also went on to finish 13th among 42 competitors in the 100m dash with a time of 10.52.

Assistant coach and former Boilermaker Carri Long won the high jump with a mark of 1.80m/5-10.75. Kristen Truscott finished fifth in the event, clearing the bar at 1.72m/5-7.75.

Prentice Stovall finished 10th among 32 competitors in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.12. He also turned in strong times in the 100m dash (10.56) and 200m dash (21.20).

The Boilermakers will continue action on tomorrow beginning with the men's hammer.
