BROWN SUMMIT, N.C. - The Purdue women's golf team finished tied for ninth place in the Bryan National Collegiate in Brown Summit, N.C. The event was held at the 5,997-yard, par-72 Bryan Park Champions Golf Course.
The Boilermakers fired a final-round 306. Purdue came into the final day with a 604 and finished with a three-day total of 910. Duke won the event with a three-day total of 870.
Senior Andrea Makauskas fired a final-round 78 and finished tied for 32nd overall with a 228. Junior Heather Zielinski also tied for 32nd after a three-round total of 228. Senior Caroline Laurens tied for 55th after a final-round 77 and three-day total of 233. Senior Christy Rittenhouse tied for 59th overall after a final-round 75 and a 234 for the weekend. Sophomore Beth Hermes fired a final-round 87 and tied for 72nd place with a 239 overall.
The Boilermakers will be in action again on April 20 and 21 at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
