Women's Golf Finishes Second at Central District Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team completed action at the Central District Invitational tied for second with conference-foe, Ohio State. Both teams shot 895 behind top-finisher Michigan State at 884.

The Boilermakers were led by junior All-American candidate Kari Damron, who fired a 222 on the day, finishing in eighth place overall. Senior Andrea Makauskas finished ninth with a 223, while classmate Caroline Laurens completed action in a five-way tie for tenth place with 224.

The tournament was hosted by the Spartans and was played at the 6,113 yard, par-72 River Wilderness Country Club.
