Men's Tennis Falls At Harvard

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team fell 6-1 at No. 44 Harvard on Saturday, Feb. 23. The loss drops the 50th-ranked Boilermakers to 2-4 (0-1 Big Ten).

Junior Scott Mayer and senior Dan Swan defeated Dave Lingman and Chris Chiou 9-7 at No. 1 doubles, but Harvard won at No. 2 and No. 3 to win the doubles point.

In singles, the Crimson won five of six matches. Mayer was the lone singles winner for Purdue, as he defeated Jonathan Chu 7-5, 6-4 at No. 1. Senior Derek Miller won his first set against George Turner at No. 3, but dropped the next two in a 1-6, 7-5, 6-4 loss.
