Women's Golf Team Tied For 13h Place After Second Round Of TRW Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- The Purdue women's golf fired a second-round 304 and stands tied for 13th place heading into the final day of the TRW Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.

The Boilermakers ended Tuesday's round with a two-day total of 617 merely three strokes out of a top-10 place.

Purdue was led by senior Caroline Laurens who fired a second-round 72 and stands tied for 16th place after a two-day total of 149. Junior Heather Zielinski totaled a 152 and is tied for 26th. Sophomore Beth Hermes is tied for 52nd with a 157. Senior Andrea Makauskas shot a 78 on Tuesday as is tied for 68th with a 160. Junior Kari Damron has totaled 161 over the two days and is tied for 74th.

The final round of the tournament resumes on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. EST. The Boilermakers' progress can be tracked at www.golfstat.com.
