MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Devin Harris and Mike Wilkinson each scored 16 points to lead five Badgers in double figures Saturday as Wisconsin defeated Purdue 77-66.
Charlie Wills added 12 points and Travon Davis and Freddie Owens scored 10 each for the Badgers (11-8, 4-2 Big Ten).
Wilkinson also grabbed 10 rebounds for his second straight double-double and his fourth of the season.
Willie Deane led Purdue (9-11, 1-5) with 24 points and Darmetreis Kilgore scored 15. The Boilermakers, who have lost seven of their last nine games, are off to their worst start in the Big Ten since the 1965-66 season.
The Badgers shot 65 percent in the first half - their best shooting half of the season - to build up a 43-31 lead. Harris scored 11 points and Wilkinson came off the bench with 10, hitting all five of his shots, to lead the way before halftime.
Purdue made just two of its first 13 field goal attempts in falling behind 17-5. The Boilermakers rallied behind Kilgore, who came off the bench to score 11 points, and pulled to within 31-27 late in the half.
Owens then hit three straight jumpers, two from 3-point range, to trigger a 12-4 Wisconsin run to close out the half.
The Badgers, who opened the second half Wednesday against Minnesota with a 15-0 run, scored the first 11 points of the second half against Purdue to blow open a 54-31 lead.
